The Digital Production Manager organises all aspects of a VFX project, including creation and maintenance of the overall shot and asset schedule. Working in close collaboration with the VFX Producer and VFX Supervisor, the Digital Production Manager ensures that the visual effects team is organised and on target.
You can:
- Plan and schedule facility resources with the VFX Producer and Supervisors
- Be responsible for overseeing the daily assignment to individual artists and departments on a whole
- Evaluate and learn individual artists strengths in order to help cast projects and facilitate cross-utilisation of artist resources
- Accurately break down new shots and client feedback through your understanding of the VFX pipeline and departments
- Track and update progress of VFX shots in database
- Maintain weekly client status reports
- Communicate with clients, editorial, artists and in-house management
- Manage the daily calendar of meetings and reviews
- Motivate individual artists as well as the team as a whole
- Partner with VFX Producer to manage and guide the team of Production Coordinators and Production Assistants
You have:
- A minimum of 3 years VFX Production Management experience across live action feature films
- A college/university degree or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- A thorough understanding of Production pipelines and how work flows through a VFX facility.
- A strong knowledge of MS Office; particularly Excel (an understanding of Project is also beneficial)
- Knowledge of either ftrack or Shotgun preferred
- The ability to liaise and collaborate with artists, producers and clients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
