SUMMARY
We are looking for a smart, experienced, and motivated Digital Media Director to join our Columbus team.
The Digital Media Director is a visionary thinker, leading our digital strategy, planning and activations. They possess excellent analytical, multi-tasking and decision-making abilities and have a strong work ethic. This person thrives in a fast-paced environment and can be a confident thought leader across all digital channels, including video, display, programmatic, digital attribution, paid social, and SEM, among others.
This is a hybrid work from home/office position (in-office attendance is required on Tuesdays & Thursdays) and the candidate must live near Columbus.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Strategic Leadership
- Shepard cross-team collaboration with Strategy/Insights, Account Management, Data/Analytics, Media team, and clients in the development of strategic digital media plans and approaches to solve our clients’ business challenges.
- Create thought-leadership content on trends/landscape for distribution to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead Agency new business efforts with innovative digital strategies and tactics.
Innovation
- Apply experience and knowledge of the digital landscape to deliver creative solutions to the Agency and clients.
- Lead the development and application of sophisticated audience segmentation strategies to ensure campaigns are highly targeted and effective across various digital channels.
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of innovations, theories, and practices pertaining to digital media functions to inform our Agency personnel and clients.
- Evaluate technology partners and recommend potential opportunities to expand our technology platform to better serve the Agency and clients.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of digital media professionals, including media planners/buyers, programmatic traders, social media experts, paid search specialists, ad ops specialists, and others.
- Stimulate and challenge teams to produce innovative and effective solutions for our clients.
Relationship Management
- Professionally represent the agency and Media department to clients, members of the agency, and the media.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Clients, media partners, technology providers, and industry leaders.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 15+ years of experience developing and executing digital marketing strategies that range from driving awareness to acquisition growth and improving ROI efficiency.
- Experience managing a diverse team of digital marketers, including experts in programmatic, paid search, SEO, paid social, display, and more.
- Prior experience working on performance-oriented channels.
- Able to drive overall marketing strategies from forecasting, budgeting, planning, prioritization, campaign execution and optimization.
- Experience in all aspects of data science, including audience segmentation, digital data, marketing attribution, media mix modeling (MMM), and campaign automation.
- Exceptional organizational skills and accountability. Ability to oversee multiple work streams simultaneously and equally comfortable delegating or owning tasks, no matter how big or small.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills - ability to work with large data sets in order to derive actionable campaign insights.
- Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills.
- Proven success of leading in-house programmatic experts as well as partnering with external agencies.
- Effective communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders across the organization.
WHAT YOU’LL GET
- The overall target range of base compensation for this role is $140,000 - $150,000. Compensation offered will be determined by additional factors such as location and experience.
