DIGTIAL DIRECTOR
Purpose: The Digital Director is responsible for leading and inspiring our Unilever Digital Media Team. He/she will be responsible for spearheading excellence in Digital Media Activation for our clients, ensuring continued improvement in the execution of search, social, programmatic/display and retail/ e-commerce campaigns.
Operations & Leadership
- Effectively service Unilever and meet their digital objectives through strategic leadership and operational excellence.
- Manage a team responsible for activating thousands of search, social, programmatic/display and retail/ e-commerce campaigns monthly.
- Define and lead the digital services offering, ensuring consistent delivery requirements and role expectations across all specialist activation teams.
- Align stakeholders on client needs and demands in digital activation, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.
- Collaborate with other leads to anticipate and address areas for improvement, driving continuous enhancement.
- Cultivate a culture of operational excellence with a strong process orientation.
- Partner with People and Learning teams to develop and implement custom training and certification programs, fostering team growth and expertise.
- Collaborate with Global and local client and agency teams to develop region/ market specific JBPs in collaboration with key partners. (Google, Meta, ByteDance)
Processes & Automation
- Establish and refine processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and accuracy in all digital delivery aspects.
- Leverage automation, specialist training, and certification programs to enhance operational efficiency and output quality.
- Ensure adherence to established process standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Define and implement technology, data, and automation solutions to optimize digital operations.
Performance:
- Foster a results-oriented environment focused on exceptional campaign delivery and reporting.
- Leverage existing talent, recruit specialists, and prioritize training, certification, and career development to support individual growth plans.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to monitor campaign and reporting service delivery, identifying and implementing process and structural improvements.
- Leverage technology for automation while ensuring teams have adequate resources and management support.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports and analysis to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and driving continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and proactively address business challenges, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction.
Digital Transformation:
- In partnership with client and key partners (Google, Meta, ByteDance), design and develop a digital transformation roadmap for the continent based on country digital maturity.
- Working with the CoE implement a workable plan to achieve milestones on roadmap
The Ideal Candidate:
- 10+ years of proven experience in digital media agency operations, demonstrating a deep understanding of the digital campaign lifecycle.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large and diverse teams
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional service
- Experience in motivating and leading cross-functional teams
- Comfortable interacting with and presenting to C-level clients and agency management, as well as colleagues at all levels.
- Inspiring communicator with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proactive problem-solver with a solutions-oriented mindset and a high attention to detail.
