Role Purpose

We are seeking a creative and passionate Digital Designer - Retail who will be a key driver in delivering compelling and customer-centric creatives for trade marketing and supplier campaigns across a variety of advertising platforms.
Reporting to the Trade Marketing Manager, you understand the online grocery shopper and translate these into effective artworks that drive interest and clicks. You are also a team player, an excellent communicator who collaborates across functions such as Marketing, Retail and Consumer Apps teams and thrives in a dynamic and challenging environment. You are an artist with a strong eye for detail to bring to life a synergised message to the customers. You create powerful content that have lasting and meaningful impact. You inspire people through design excellence.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Conceptualise and design all trade marketing and supplier campaign creatives collaboratively with Marketing, Site Merchandiser and Category Managers
- Apply consumer insights, trends and digital design skills to deliver compelling and customer-centric content across various digital media channels (e.g. Email, Facebook, Instagram) and operating platforms (website and apps)
- Ensure a consistent, unified look and feel across all customer touch-points per campaign
- Lead the development of creative assets - this includes understanding the business objective and communication plan, exercise independent creative judgement while integrating stakeholders’ requirements/feedback, and translate stakeholders’ briefs into innovative top quality artworks on time
- Be a brand custodian to provide sound design counsel to internal and external stakeholders to ensure creative assets are in line with RedMart’s brand positioning whilst looking after suppliers’ branding (if applicable)
- Keep to date industry trends, latest design tools and apply best practices to daily work
- Proactively suggest design improvements
- Curate a collection of stock images to support trade marketing and supplier campaigns
- Maintain the Shared Drive for creatives with Marketing Designers to ensure easy accessibility of shared assets
- Any other responsibilities as and when assigned
Basic Requirements
- Degree in Graphic or Multimedia Design and/or creative field equivalent
- 3 years’ relevant experience
- Expert in design tools and software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator InDesign)
- Proven record of creating powerful design solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced and fairly ambiguous environment
- Strong understanding of art and design principles for effective storytelling
- Effective communicator and collaborator so as to present ideas, educate and persuade stakeholders that leads to designs that delight customers
- Sound understanding of online (grocery) shoppers (including their interest, behaviour and decision making process) to develop relatable creatives
- Keen eye for detail

Additional Desired Requirements
- Basic CSS/HTML5 knowledge and animation skills is a BIG plus
- Possess copywriting skills
