POSITION CLASSIFICATION
For Our Future recognizes a staff bargaining unit, affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 494, a labor union. This position is NOT included in the For Our Future bargaining unit.
JOB SUMMARY
As part of our electoral work in expressly advocating for and against political candidates and issues ahead of the November general election, we are required by both state agencies and the Federal Election Commission to accurately report and keep records on our spending through political activities. This requires a detail oriented and clear communicator who can ensure consistent reporting ahead of deadlines working with both our state and national staff.
This position is anticipated to run through until November 14, 2024.
Essential Functions
- Tracking digital spending including ads, collateral, and staff time through our back-end and ensuring reporting times are met for both state and national reporting agencies
- Consistent follow-up with states daily to ensure digital spending is beginning and ending on reporting dates
- Ushering information on digital spending to our compliance team
- Alerting any issues to our digital and compliance teams
- Staying on top of reporting deadlines and training digital teams in state where necessary on reporting requirements and timelines.
- Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Expected Hours of Work
- Employees may be required to work outside of normal business hours including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Employees are required to abide by certain blackout dates during a campaign cycle or other key deadlines, and generally not allowed to take off during blackout periods. Emergencies are not affected by this policy.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This position is based in our Washington, DC headquarters, which is currently remote and will have a remote option until further notice. Employees will therefore work and interact primarily in a virtual environment for the duration of this temporary position, unless extended. Employees may be required to periodically travel to and/or work out of office locations in Washington, DC or at state offices.
