- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Configuration & Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of GA4, ensuring proper setup, functionality, and troubleshooting any measurement and system-related questions.
- Data Connector Implementation: Enable data connectors into GA4 via Google Tag Manager (GTM) to ensure smooth data flow and accurate analytics reporting.
- Tag Management: Collaborate with website developers to implement and manage data layer events, ensuring GTM can accurately capture user interactions and send them to GA4 for tracking.
- Event Tracking: Configure custom events within GTM for both GA4 and external platforms (e.g., paid social media accounts) to enable retargeting and track performance.
- Data Analysis: Provide insights and recommendations based on data collected through GA4, helping guide marketing strategies and operational decisions.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing teams, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure analytics meet business goals.
- Documentation & Training: Maintain documentation for all GA4-related processes, and provide training and support to internal teams regarding data insights and analytics usage.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar).
- Advanced certifications in Google Analytics (GA4) and/or Google Tag Manager preferred. (plus)
Essential Skills:
- GA4 Expertise: Deep understanding of the GA4 platform, including configuration, troubleshooting, and reporting capabilities.
- Google Tag Manager Mastery: Proven ability to create, manage, and troubleshoot tags, triggers, and variables within GTM.
- Data Layer Management: Proficient in working with developers to set up data layer events that GTM can interpret and send to GA4.
- Data Connector Integration: Experience connecting various data sources to GA4 using GTM and other tools.
- Collaboration: Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, marketers, and leadership.
- Technical Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to analytics and tag management.
- Paid Media Retargeting: Familiarity with setting up retargeting campaigns across social media platforms using GA4 data.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in digital analytics, with a focus on Google Analytics (GA4 expertise required).
- Extensive experience with Google Tag Manager and the creation of data layer events for both analytics and retargeting purposes.
- Proven track record in enabling and managing data connectors within GA4.
- Experience collaborating with development teams to implement and troubleshoot technical solutions for analytics.
- Hands-on experience with setting up custom events and retargeting through paid social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
