About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) Engineer to design, optimize, and manage our database infrastructure for diverse business scenarios. This role will focus on choosing suitable database solutions, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, TiDB, graph databases, and vector databases, to meet specific business needs. You will be instrumental in ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval, performing large-scale cluster capacity planning, and implementing best practices for database operations. Key Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements to select and implement the optimal database solutions for various use cases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, TiDB, graph databases, and vector databases.
- Design and implement database cluster architectures focused on performance optimization and high availability for large-scale data storage and querying.
- Optimize data modeling, SQL query performance, replication, and disaster recovery strategies based on unique business requirements.
- Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of large-scale database clusters to enhance stability and availability.
- Establish standards and best practices for database operations to improve service quality, efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
- Research emerging big data technologies and provide customized database solutions for complex business scenarios.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in large-scale database design, optimization, and operations, with expertise in choosing database architectures for diverse use cases.
- Proficient in at least one distributed relational or NoSQL database, such as PostgreSQL or TiDB.
- Strong skills in problem analysis and troubleshooting, with proven experience in resolving complex database performance bottlenecks.
- Familiarity with popular big data technologies, such as graph databases (Neo4j or Nebula) and vector databases (Milvus), is preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies, such as containers and Kubernetes, with experience in deploying and managing large-scale databases in cloud environments preferred.
- Proficient in Linux, networking, and storage-related knowledge.
- Excellent communication and business acumen, with a passion for sharing technical knowledge.
- Fluent in Mandarin to enable effective communication within multilingual team environments.
