DevOps Engineer (Senior)

We are currently looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer to work on designing, implementing and providing advanced operational support for service, server, virtualization and computing/storage service solutions.

As a DevOps Engineer you’ll have to develop automation for repetitive tasks, manage CI/CD pipelines for a number of services , monitor hosts and services to identify performance issues, organize upgrades for services, improve security of services, while participating in the design and deployment of new services.

You will be part of a team of established engineers that nourish technical competency, delivering solutions/services for e-Infrastructures in a number of strategic EC Projects in the areas of Global Connectivity, European Open Science Cloud and EuroHPC amongst others.

Requirements

• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Proactively ensure the highest availability levels of services
• Implementation of changes such as deployments, migrations, maintenance
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies

Your Profile

• Experience in configuration Management such as Ansible,
• Experience in supporting stack with proxying/load balancing based on Apache, Nginx, HAproxy
• Solid experience in installation, configuration, management, optimization of Monitoring Systems (Nagios, Icinga etc)
• Proven working experience in the Linux operating system and in particular Centos and Debian.
• 4-year experience in relevant field

• Experience (at least 2 years) with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment and management using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker.

Will be considered a plus:

• Experience in configuration, management and optimisation of MongoDB and relating Replication, High-Availability procedures
• Knowledge of Backup-Restore, Replication, High-Availability procedures for relational open source databases
• Experience with test automation and test-driven development
• Experience with graphing/metrics/logging tools
• Working with agile methodologies
