DevOps Engineer

Your influential mission. You will...

  • Facilitate and support the agile development cycle.
  • Investigate, evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies.
  • Install, configure and maintain the development, testing, staging and production environments.
  • Maintain configuration management, build, integration and deployment tools.
  • Develop the required scripts to support the automation of processes and pipelines.
  • Detect and resolve security, performance and availability issues.
  • Ensure all systems are integrated with standard monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Document all processes and procedures to a high standard.

Components for success. You...

  • Should have 3+ years of related professional experience similar DevOps role.
  • Have ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of code and script writing.
  • Should have experience with Linux/Unix Administration and Kubernetes/Nomad .
  • Have a solid knowledge in managing microservice architectures - deploying, monitoring and automating build processes.
  • Should have experience with automation/configuration management tools ( Puppet, Ansible, Chef ).
  • Should have a thorough understanding of CI / CD tools and processes, Docker containers and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, AlertManager and Prometheus.
  • Must have experience with databases, such as Postgres, Couchbase or InfluxDB.
  • Have a working knowledge ELK stack - Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, and Logstash.
  • Are passionate about solving problems with elegant but simple solutions. You are by nature a good problem solver with attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Should have experience with SVN/GIT/Bitbucket and Scala, Akka, Redis.
  • Should have great written & spoken English.

PRODUCT TEAM

You will be joining a diverse product team responsible for delivering innovative digital game products to the market.  The core product includes a wide variety of games and features supplemented by content as well as promotional tools and community features including player to player chat facilities. 

You will be responsible for the configuration, and maintenance of the Playtech  platform, coupled with management of the scalability, performance, availability and health of the system by using open-source tools. Another key element to this position is the automation of processes, such as build, testing, deployment, and distribution to increase productivity.

This role offers a several exciting opportunities to become involved in key technology areas and also to help the evolution of the  technical platform. We have a number of key projects in progress and there is the opportunity to work both as a member of a team and also to take sole responsibility for the delivery of your own projects.
