DevOps Engineer
Praxis Engineering has an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer to support Report Authoring and Dissemination. Efforts will focus on DevOps engineering of a modernization effort to converge NSA’s authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools. What you will be doing:
Responsibilities will include: deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software; managing network servers and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance; and troubleshooting issues and outages.
Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every 4-6 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked.
What you will need:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical degree from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree;
· A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in DevOps engineering
· Technical skills include experience with:
o Linux
o AWS, MASH, and VMs
o Deployments of distributed web applications (e.g. GitLab CI/CD)
o Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
o Ansible scripting and development
o Thorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology
o Git
Desired technical skills include experience with:
· AWS, eVo, VM, and UWE environments
· Docker Swarm
· Python scripting and development
· NiFi maintenance and configuration
· Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration
· Java / Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs)
· HAProxy
· MongoDB
· Percona (MySQL flavor)
· Firewalls
· Agile software development practices
· Jira and Confluence
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role.
Salary range:
$121,739.00 - $247,262.00 (Annually)*
