DevOps Engineer

*PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be located in Denver, Seattle, or Charlotte in order to be considered for this role. We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule at our Denver, Seattle, or Charlotte offices -- (Three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

THE POSITION

The DevOps Engineer on LendingTree’s Operational Tools and Automation Team (OTA) is considered a technical partner in cloud technology, architecture, system implementation and integration with a specialized knowledge of Web Services. The Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the design and delivery of solutions based on Cloud standards, governance and best practices. Conducts technical research when necessary, to contribute to setting direction and strategy. Assists others on their own team, or other teams where applicable, on cloud or security-related projects.  Experience in scripting languages like Python, Bash, PowerShell along with experience in Infrastructure as Code and build/deployment tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Chef, Puppet and Ansible is a plus.  Strong Communication skills are a must. 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES: 

  • Help to design, develop and implement new Cloud technologies to support Business and Team solutions, primarily with an eye toward Reliability and Security
  • Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for Cloud tools, applications and processes, including Terraform, GitLab, New Relic, Sumo Logic, Azure and AWS Products.
  • Help identify, manage and maintain KPI and other metrics for Team and Business success.
  • Review and assess the current supported tools and processes to determine gaps for meeting the needs of the business. 
  • Design and implement changes to existing Cloud tools, applications and processes based on changes in scope or needs. 
  • Work directly with internal teams (Development, Security, QA, Marketing, etc) to align and execute infrastructure changes to support tools, applications and processes. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Experience using CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins
  • Experience with Git
  • Working Knowledge of SSL Certificates, Load Balancers and HTTP
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Powershell)
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 1 years experience or 3 years experience showing increasing responsibilities

The base pay range for this position in Colorado/New York/California is $98,000-128,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
