We are currently looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer to work on designing, implementing and providing advanced operational support for service, server, virtualization and computing/storage service solutions.
As a DevOps Engineer you’ll have to develop automation for repetitive tasks, manage CI/CD pipelines for a number of services , monitor hosts and services to identify performance issues, organize upgrades for services, improve security of services, while participating in the design and deployment of new services.
You will be part of a team of established engineers that nourish technical competency, delivering solutions/services for e-Infrastructures in a number of strategic EC Projects in the areas of Global Connectivity, European Open Science Cloud and EuroHPC amongst others.
Requirements
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Implementation of changes such as deployments, migrations, maintenance
- Deploy updates and fixes
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Provide 2nd line support on development teams.
Your Profile
- Proven working experience (at least 2 years) in administration of the Linux operating system (including security, firewall) and in particular Centos and Debian.
- Experience (at least 2 years) with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment and management using tools like Jenkins, Git and Docker.
- Good knowledge of networking fundamentals and Network configuration management (IPv4 & IPv6)
- Familiarity with RBDMS databases (MySQL, Postrgres)
- Basic Knowledge in configuration Management such as Ansible,
- 1-year experience in relevant field
Will be considered a plus :

- Experience designing and implementing continuous delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns
- Experience in proper setup of networking, load balancing, etc to support high-throughput applications
- Solid experience in installation, configuration, management, optimization of Monitoring Systems (Nagios, Icinga etc)
- Experience with test automation and test-driven development
- Experience with graphing/metrics/logging tools
