DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at First Resonance, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our software solutions. Joining the core Engineering team, you will contribute significantly to our reputation for delivering high-quality and robust software solutions. This role involves close collaboration with Engineering, IT teams, and customers to streamline our software development life cycle, ensuring the seamless operation of ION at every level.

Your work as a DevOps Engineer will be crucial in empowering our customers to push the boundaries of technology confidently. From optimizing our CI/CD pipelines to ensuring system resilience, your efforts will be central to our mission of facilitating innovation in a dynamic industry.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead efforts to integrate DevOps practices across the development lifecycle, enhancing automation, deployment, and monitoring capabilities.
  • Work alongside development and IT teams to improve and maintain the operational aspects of the ION platform, including its performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Take charge of developing, deploying, and managing critical infrastructure components using containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment processesComprehensive system monitoring and performance tracking.
  • Promote best practices in continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure as code among the development team and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure that our products are designed with operability, reliability, and scalability in mind from the outset.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Solid background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and managing microservices architectures.
  • Extensive experience with cloud services particularly AWS
  • Proficiency in managing secrets with Hashicorp Vault or similar tools
  • Experience deploying solutions via Terraform, Helm, and/or ArgoCD
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines via GHA or similar 
  • Experience with ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana for system monitoring
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security topics in layman's terms.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages relevant to security tasks.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • A proactive mindset with a knack for identifying potential security risks before they become problems.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a commitment to excellence.
  • Familiarity with security certifications (SOC2, CMMC, etc) and certification process

Pay Range
$150,000$200,000 USD
