About the team

At GBG Compliance, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build functional systems that improve the customer experience we are now looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer. They will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers’ needs

The role

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers’ needs. Primarily this means building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure within the AWS platform, working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.

 

What you will do

  • Work with software engineering teams and build/update the infrastructure automation and deployment process
  • Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Deploy updates and fixes and provide Level 2 technical support
  • Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
  • Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
  • Perform root cause analysis for production errors
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues
  • Develop scripts to automate virtualization
  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Take part in Scrum meetings and work on tasks
  • Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Experienced as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
  • Proficient with CI/CD Pipeline tools Gitlab, Jenkins
  • Hands-on experience of Python and/or UNIX Shell Scripting
  • Development experience using Terraform for IaC in Cloud environment and configuration management using Helm.
  • Good knowledge of Observability Systems such as ELK, New Relic, Zabbix
  • Experience in AWS Cloud platform : Manage and maintain AWS environments, including provisioning, scaling, and optimizing resources for cost-efficiency and performance
  • Kubernetes Management: Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Working experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and frameworks
  • Basic knowledge in computer networks and concepts
  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Problem-solving attitude and Collaborative team spirit with minimum management.
