Education & Work Experience
Qualification:
- Degree or currently enrolled in a STEM (e.g. sociology, statistics, IT) study program or similar is an advantage;
- Work experience in IT and/or Data related industry fields is an advantage;
- Technical experience in setting up Android devices, installing applications, configuring settings and/or network;
- Android user and/or experience working with Android devices;
- Experience in the NGO/INGO field with a focus on civil society development or emergency programs is an advantage;
- Flexible schedule, possibility to work at the different time of the day and during the weekends
- strong attention to detail
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- languages – English/Romanian/Russian - Fluent in all aspects
Background
People in Need (PIN) is a Czech non-governmental organization that provides relief aid and development assistance while working to defend human rights and democratic freedom. It is one of the largest reliefs and development organizations in post-communist Europe and has administered projects in 37 countries over the past 30 years. Position overview:
The service provider is to perform his/her services under overall guideline of the Data and Digital Transformation Specialist and through direct engagement with dedicated PIN staff. Device Setup and Configuration Assistant main activities are the setup and configuration of devices, which consists of wiping the data, block certain applications, setup security access, login to particular accounts, install software, configure the network and perform the inventory which includes labelling of the devices in the database and perform checks of accompanying accessories
Service activities:
− Perform setup and configuration of the device;
− Wipe the data from the device by performing a factory reset;
− Block default applications based on provided instructions;
− Setup security access by setting a pin code or password;
− Perform applications installations;
− Login to particular accounts;
− Configure the custom network and other parameters;
− Perform the inventory which includes labelling of the devices in the database
- Perform checks of accompanying accessories
− Perform the inventory check of the unit (device + accessories)
− Perform the inventory which includes labelling of the devices in the database
− Participate in training sessions as required;
− Identify and immediately report any technical issues and/or faultiness of the device;
− Ensure to follow the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) signed before the start of the services;
− And fulfil any other tasks as required.
