ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In charge of new lapping process technology development to achieve dimensional control target of new products
- Work with the lapping engineering team to improve current process capability
- An individual contributor to a technical team with specialized knowledge to deliver technology solutions to develop products and/or solve business problems.
- The assigned task will be related to, but is not limited to areas of Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical Engineering.
- Cross-team leadership and collaboration will also be a big part of the responsibilities that come with the position.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics or their equivalent.
- At least 3-5 years in a Development engineering role or any applicable role in HDD business or Electronics industry
PREFERRED:
- Experienced in slider fabrication, assembly or manufacturing set-up. A background in HDD-related fields will be a plus.
- Will to be assigned and work in multiple manufacturing sites located in different countries
SKILLS:
- Able to communicate and have a good command of the English language
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoints, Excel, and Word
- Knowledgeable in statistical software and its practical applications
- Hands-on experience of Lapping processes and related applications for electronic component.
- Knowledge of various materials, chemicals, and measurement tools, including their applications in the manufacture of electronic components.
- Proficiency with analytical methods and tools to help interpret and extract insights from Lapping development results such as finite element analysis, Matlab, JMP, R+, and Python.
- Familiarity with Mapping-related equipment and metrology tools would be beneficial.
- Must demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently work among multidisciplinary teams and lead junior engineers and/or technicians
