Develop and validate the design of systems.
Define root causes and validate solutions for issues happening in the field,
plant, supplier.
1. Develop and execute the System level DVP for new programs
and internal component change projects, such as technical
cost reductions, supplier resources and warranty, long-term
reliability & shift quality improvements
2. Manage DVP documentation
3. Execute bench testing
4. Execute in-vehicle performance & functional testing
5. Triage transmission related issues occurring in various fleets,
including development vehicles, durability/reliability vehicles
and fast feedback to improve customer satisfaction and meet
various quality metrics
6. First responder to apparent trans hardware related concerns
7. Systematically diagnose the root cause and support
development of corrective actions
8. Lead RCA of many GIMs, support corrective action
development, identification & validation
9. Identify various system level transmission performance
targets
10. Support debug effort of new program vehicle phases
11. Support Vehicle Assembly plant
12. Generate draft test plans to establish cost and timing for
bulletin response roll-ups
13. Release oil fill process specifications for Transmission and
Vehicle Plant procedures
14. Maintain Technical Infrastructure documentation, including
DVP and Test Procedures
15. Review / Edit Owners Manual, Service Manual & Diagnostics

Profile
● 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry or product
engineering design, validation and engineering projects
development with OEM and/or tier 1/2 supplier.
● Minimum 3 years’ experience in transmission, driveline & axles or
related area
● Thorough understanding of vehicle functions and general vehicle
architecture
● Understanding of typical automotive manufacturing and quality
processes
● Leaderships, organization, planning, decision making and strategic
thinking skills
● Ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and
uncertainty through effective communication and experience
● Proactive, Learning, self-driven, Teamwork oriented
● Efficient work under pressure and high communication skills
● Training in problem solving techniques
● Must be able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
● Must be able to lead and manage Suppliers
● Some travel required to Supplier and Corporate Engine /
Transmission / Vehicle Assembly Plants
● Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
