About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Mendix professional to take charge of our Developer Learning portfolio. This role is essential in ensuring that our learning materials, training programs, and certification pathways are of the highest quality, keeping pace with the latest innovations in Mendix technology.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with at least 5 years of hands-on Mendix development experience, combined with a passion for teaching, curriculum design, and developer enablement. You will be responsible for designing and continuously improving our developer learning programs, ensuring they are comprehensive, up-to-date, and aligned with industry trends and Mendix product developments.
Key Responsibilities:

Redesign & Maintain Developer Learning Materials: Overhaul and update existing learning materials, ensuring that they reflect current best practices and the latest product features.

Certification Program Ownership: Design and manage our Mendix certification programs to maintain high standards and relevancy, aligning with industry and market needs.

Innovative Content Development: Ensure that new product developments, tools, and innovations in the Mendix platform are quickly and effectively incorporated into learning resources.

Developer Enablement Strategy: Lead the strategy for developer training and certification, ensuring that it enhances the skills of developers at all levels—from beginners to advanced.

Network of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Build and manage a network of internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure a close fit between the learning content and the needs of our Mendix ecosystem. Collaborate with product teams, experienced developers, and industry professionals to stay attuned to the challenges, trends, and needs within the Mendix community.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product teams, SMEs, and other stakeholders to gather insights and ensure alignment between product development and learning materials.

Content Delivery: Develop engaging content that can be delivered across multiple formats (e.g., video, interactive tutorials, documentation) to suit various learning styles.

Performance Metrics & Feedback: Establish and track key metrics to measure the effectiveness of learning programs, certifications, and developer success.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Mendix platform developments and industry trends to continuously improve the learning experience for developers.
Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on Mendix experience: Strong technical expertise in Mendix development and platform innovations.

Experience in instructional design: Proven experience in developing technical learning materials, tutorials, and certification programs, with a focus on enabling developers.

Strong understanding of the developer journey: Ability to create resources that meet the needs of developers at all skill levels, from entry-level to advanced.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills: Capable of working cross-functionally with product teams, developers, and external partners to gather information and ensure learning programs align with platform updates.

Building and managing SME networks: Experience working with or managing subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure that learning content reflects the practical needs and challenges of the Mendix developer ecosystem.

Innovative mindset: Ability to think creatively about new ways to engage developers and make learning materials more effective and engaging.

Experience with eLearning tools and platforms: Familiarity with instructional design tools, LMS platforms, and multimedia content development is a plus.
