About the Role:
We are seeking a technically skilled Mendix professional to lead the content development for our Developer Learning portfolio. In this role, you will focus on creating and improving high-quality, up-to-date learning materials that support developers as they progress in their Mendix journey. The ideal candidate will have has at least 5 years of hands-on Mendix development experience, a proven track record of quality project delivery, and a passion for translating technical knowledge into engaging and effective learning resources.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our learning content—across various formats like tutorials, documentation, and interactive training—is both technically sound and aligned with the latest product innovations. You’ll also play a key role in evolving our certification programs to meet market demands, ensuring our developer learning portfolio remains robust and impactful.
Key Responsibilities:

Create & Update Developer Learning Materials: Develop and refine learning content, including tutorials, technical documentation, and interactive training modules, ensuring all content is accurate, relevant, and engaging.

Technical Ownership of Learning Content: Lead the technical aspect of content creation, ensuring that learning materials address real-world developer and project challenges and reflect the latest Mendix platform updates.

Innovative Content Development: Incorporate new product developments, tools, and innovations into learning resources to keep the content current and impactful for developers of all levels.

Support Certification Programs: Assist in the design and refinement of our certification pathways, ensuring the technical depth and accuracy of exam content aligns with industry standards and developer needs.

Content Delivery: Develop technical content that can be delivered across multiple platforms and formats (e.g., video tutorials, step-by-step guides, interactive labs) to cater to various learning preferences.

Collaborate on LMS Development: Partner closely with the product team to design and build a new Learning Management System (LMS) that delivers a seamless, engaging, and scalable learning experience for developers. Your input will be critical to ensuring that the platform aligns with our learning goals and provides users with intuitive, innovative learning journeys.

Product Alignment: Collaborate closely with product teams to stay updated on the latest Mendix platform features and innovations, ensuring that the learning materials reflect these developments.

Continuous Improvement: Use feedback from developers and performance data to continuously improve learning content, making it more effective and accessible.

SME Collaboration: Work with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and experienced developers to gather insights and ensure the technical depth and real-world relevance of the content.

Trainer and Developer certifications: Redesign what certification levels mean and certify new trainers and expert developers around the world.
Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on Mendix experience: Proven technical expertise in Mendix development, with a deep understanding of the platform’s capabilities and best practices.

Deep Understanding of Developer Needs: Ability to create content that addresses the challenges developers face and provides solutions that align with different skill levels, from beginner to expert.

Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Mendix platform, including its latest innovations and features, and the ability to translate that knowledge into clear, actionable learning content.

Innovative Mindset: Eagerness to think creatively about how to engage developers and present technical concepts in new and compelling ways.

Strong Content Development Skills: Experience in developing technical learning materials, such as tutorials, documentation, and training modules, with a focus on developer enablement.

Experience with eLearning Tools: Familiarity with instructional design tools and platforms (LMS, video editing, interactive labs) used for content creation and distribution is a plus.

Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with product teams, SMEs, and developers to ensure alignment between product developments and learning content.
