Desktop Support Technician

Location: Richmond Virginia, 
 
As a member of the Global Shared Services (GSS) team, you will work to support the business units, geographic locations and Exiger leadership. Units within GSS include: Talent and Culture, Finance, Growth & Marketing, Legal, IT Security/Support and our Administrative team.
 
Desktop Support Technicians provide Exiger with a point of accountability for administering the company’s computing environment and response to the technology needs of the business.  Duties include administering software used to centrally manage and protect desktop computers and providing desk side technical support to internal company employees on their desktop computers for level 2 & 3 issues.. This position is involved in Global projects and facilitates with other IT service teams throughout the company to facilitate large-scale roll-outs, fixes, or services. This position operates under minimal supervision and has wide latitude for exercising independent judgment.  The candidate in this position will be solving issues that are global and widespread. This candidate will also develop methodologies and solution for enterprise issues and will be expected to help implement those solutions while developing best practices.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver IT services to internal and external customers - includes direct staff as well as service providers. 
  • Maintain a high level of end user satisfaction by resolving issues and requests in a timely manner.
  • Manage the review of user access to Exiger systems and data.



Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to interact with internal Executive stakeholders at all levels of the company.
  • Possess the ability to establish relationships which will facilitate Exiger’s information security and business operating model goals.
  • Team player and self-starter willing and capable of working in a global and diverse business environment with a fast-paced executive team.
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines and manage multiple projects and objectives simultaneously.
  • Strong executive written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong program and project management skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to find effective solutions to issues.
  • Ability to help users efficiently both in person and remotely.


What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related area of study or comparable experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting users.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Mac OS support experience.
  • Experience in a high-growth start-up environment.
  • Prior government facing work experience is a plus.
  • Experience supporting a global company with multiple offices is a plus.
  • Ability to Work in the United States without Sponsorship
  • Ability to commute to our new office in Richmond, Virginia.
