POSITION SUMMARY
As a Desktop Services Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering a seamless technology experience for end users across the EMEA and APAC regions. Based in India, you will be a key member of a dynamic IT team, providing frontline technical support, managing help desk tickets, and ensuring the health of desktop systems. This role is ideal for someone passionate about solving technical problems, improving IT processes, and delivering top-notch user experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Support: Serve as the first point of contact for end users, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to desktop hardware, software, email, video conferencing, and network connectivity.

Help Desk Management: Manage and resolve help desk tickets promptly, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

System Configuration and Deployment: Configure, install, and deploy desktop systems, including setting up workstations, performing software installations, updates, and maintaining device security compliance.

Process Improvement and Automation: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive IT tasks and streamline processes for enhanced efficiency.

Equipment Management: Maintain inventory of hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. Handle IT equipment setup, ordering, shipping, and assist with onboarding new hires in the EMEA and APAC regions.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and update knowledge base articles and maintain thorough documentation of desktop configurations and IT processes.

User Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and end users, ensuring they are well-informed and supported during the issue resolution process.

Support for a Hybrid Workforce: Provide consistent support to both onsite and remote employees, ensuring they have the necessary tools and support to perform their duties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Technical certifications are highly preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a corporate help desk or desktop support role.
- Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience supporting users in a multinational organization is a plus.
- Located in India with the ability to work onsite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar.
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
