About the Opportunity

We are looking to add an experienced, hardworking Design Technology and BIM Innovator to our team. Coupled with the diverse learning and project experience opportunities, do you see yourself excited to contribute to…

  • Providing highly sought after design, VDC, and BIM services to our Transportation Practice.
  • Providing internal consulting for AutoDesk Construction Cloud management on large transportation projects.
  • Collaborating with the Design Production Team in capacity building and innovation priorities.
  • Streamlining processes between leading software platforms, including AutoDesk, ESRI, survey and reality capture platforms, modelling platforms, client-specific platforms, etc.
  • Co-developing BIM implementation and management strategies and supporting the implementation and capacity development on an ongoing basis.
  • Exploring industry trends with respect to new software to build internal capacity.
  • Developing, implementing, and documenting improved workflows for design and production processes.
  • Assisting in the development and review of technical training resources for design practitioners.
  • Supporting local ‘champions’ in troubleshooting software/hardware issues related to design production in each office.
  • Collaborating with our quality management team on project auditing workflows and highlighting opportunities for course corrections, including the development of standardizing workflows and project administration tools within digital platforms.
  • Collaborating with IT for annual maintenance of design and production software tools.
  • Researching and testing project auditing technologies to improve adherence to standards, including submission standards to clients.
  • Co-developing AutoDesk Construction Cloud implementation strategy and supporting the implementation and capacity development on an ongoing basis.

 

About You

 The ideal candidate will have a diploma or certification in advanced technology from an accredited technical institution or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years experience in geomatics, design, and construction management. The core skills that will help you succeed here include:

  • You have experience with transportation projects.
  • You have experience with AutoDesk Construction Cloud Management.
  • You are proficient in a range of BIM authoring, scripting, design review, coordination, simulations, and collaboration applications and/or platforms e.g. Revit, Civil 3D etc.
  • You have knowledge of VDC standards and implementation.
  • You are a self-starter that can work independently but you really thrive when working as part of a collaborative team.
  • You take pride in producing high-quality work and possess a strong attention to detail.
  • You are interested in mentoring and coaching others to produce high quality relationships and results.
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills for communicating with team members and clients.
  • You have experience guiding teams and organizations through improving their design technology processes.
