Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Design Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in CAD and Revit, with experience in System Surveyor being a significant advantage. The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design process from initial survey through to final design completion, managing a team of 3-5 CAD operators and field survey personnel.

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of 3-5 CAD operators, field survey and Project Management/ workflow personnel.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members to foster their professional growth and ensure high-quality output.

Project Management

  • Manage the entire design process from initial survey to final design completion.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their design requirements and ensure these are met.
  • Develop project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.

Design and Technical Expertise

  • Utilize CAD and Revit to create and oversee the development of detailed design plans.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and client specifications.
  • Review and approve design documents and drawings

Survey Management:

  • Conduct and oversee field surveys to gather necessary data for design projects.
  • Use System Surveyor to streamline and enhance the survey and design process (preferred but not mandatory).

Quality Control:

  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of design documents.
  • Conduct regular reviews of team output to maintain high standards of work

Reporting:

  • Prepare regular reports on project status, team performance, and any issues encountered.
  • Present findings and progress updates to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design management or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in CAD and Revit is required.
  • RCDD preferred.
  • Experience with System Surveyor or similar survey program is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent project management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
