- Lead a team of UX/UI designers, providing UX, UI, and visual direction. Review and offer feedback throughout the design process (from brainstorming to researching, sketching, prototyping, testing, and implementation).
- Organize team schedules, assign tasks, and ensure the optimal use of resources and skills. Maintain the team backlog and prioritize tickets, clarifying scope, and requirements, and negotiating deadlines with stakeholders as necessary.
- Review work and provide feedback to team members, ensuring excellent quality of UX and UI deliverables. Ensure the proper implementation of design rules and standards, and application of the design thinking process when relevant.
- Constantly review with your team the products you are responsible for, and taking the initiative to achieve UX & UI improvements.
- Act as an individual contributor, creating visuals, UI's, and marketing material as needed.
- Organize user research efforts for the team in collaboration with UX researchers.
- Mentor team members to develop their design and technical skills. Ensure the health and performance of the team through recurring 1:1 meetings and performance reviews.
- Represent the Design team within the organization, acting as an advocate for design values and ensuring the implementation of design standards.
- Run team meetings to facilitate the flow of information within the team and the department. Work with stakeholders to negotiate deadlines, translate requests into design requirements, and improve processes and collaboration. Keep up to date with priorities at the company and product level.
- Create and maintain a collaborative and productive work environment between team members and coworkers from all disciplines and departments.
- Collaborate with other Leads on cross-team projects and assist in the efficient flow of information through the Design team. Propose process and technical improvements to raise the quality and quantity of the Design team's output.
- Keep up to date with design trends, techniques, and processes. Perform regular competitive analysis and benchmarks.
- Any other tasks assigned by the direct line manager.
What We Expect From You
- 5+ years experience as an individual contributor or equivalent leadership experience.
- Attention to detail, balancing great aesthetics and usability in your and your team's work.
- Expert in one or more UI design tools: Sketch, Figma, Invision, Adobe XD, including the creation and maintenance of design libraries.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent understanding of the specificities when designing for responsive web and mobile platforms. Excellent knowledge of Google's Material Design and Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Highly valued: experience working with 3D design software, AI tools.
- Proven ability to collaborate and motivate and positively influence your reports and colleagues.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. You can express your ideas clearly and explain your design decisions.
- Fluency in English (written and oral) is mandatory.
