Design for Test (DFT) Engineer (Boston and Mountain View)

As a Design for Test Engineer you will work closely with all disciplines involved in chip design and product operations to design, validate, and deploy test solutions for digital, analog, and photonic logic. You will be involved in a variety of tasks including logic design, validation and logic simulations, scripting, timing closure, post-silicon planning and bring up, and bringing products to market.

Responsibilities

  • Work on complex DFT issues with a diverse scope 
  • Determine best methods and procedures to apply towards optional test solutions
  • Work independently and problem solve 
  • Develop dashboards that show the convergence of projects to tapeout
  • Collaborate with pre-silicon teams, operations, and supply chain
  • Optimization of tools and cost saving measures related to CAD tools
  • Scripting and coding for optimal flow automation
  • Fault coverage analysis and improvements 
  • Support initial silicon bring-up through debug 
  • Validate DFT implementation and requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience
  • Proven experience in pre-silicon design activities
  • Work independently on daily tasks and projects, while seeking guidance for new and unfamiliar assignments.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Tcl
  • Solid understanding of DFT concepts such as Scan, ATPG, memory test, and JTAG
  • Knowledge of Basic SoC Architecture and HDL languages like Verilog 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working on DFT related tasks in either logic design, validation, implementation or pattern generation and coverage analysis.
  • Knowledge about industry standards and practices in DFT including scan insertion, stuck-at and at-speed scan ATPG, boundary scan, and common memory test algorithms.

We offer competitive compensation. The base salary range for this role, inclusive of all US locations, is $115,000-$165,000. Your base salary will be determined based on location, experience, educational background, and market data.
