The BIW sealing systems engineer will have had a minimum of 5 years of experience in Bulk Materials Handling in the automotive Industry, straddling design-office and field oversight/commissioning responsibilities, the BIW sealing systems engineer will be responsible of material release in both CAD design tools and PLM systems as well as material applications and specification definition.
Responsibilities:
- Estimating and proposal preparation support
- Mechanical detail engineering for material application in the BIW components.
- Specify Materials for Pumping systems such as sealings, adhesives, sound deadeners, coatings, paints, e-coat, etcetera.
- Support for Equipment specifications and installations.
- Assembly Structural Design analysis
- Product Design Verification plan and evaluation.
- Process control support
- Project and field management
- Support for Vehicle Launching and Pre-series prototypes.
- Material validation in-Lab
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineer
- Minimum 5 years experience in Bulk Material Handling in the Automotive Industry such as sealings, adhesives, sound deadeners, coatings, paints, e-coat.
- Excellent knowledge of NX/Teamcenter Software
- Experience in Material Characteristics, Analysis and Lab-Testing
- Product Launching Management Experience
- Availability to travel occasionally
- Advanced English (B2/C1).
