Job Summary:
The Learning and Development (L&D) Manager is accountable for creating and implementing learning programs that foster employee growth and support Dangote Cement's strategic objectives. You will work closely with business leaders to identify learning needs, develop innovative training solutions, and measure the effectiveness of those initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with the company's goals.
- Conduct training needs assessments for various departments and job roles to identify skill gaps.
- Create and maintain a curriculum of training programs, including onboarding and ongoing professional development.
- Design engaging training materials and online courses that leverage current technologies and methodologies.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops, promoting an interactive learning environment.
- Evaluate training programs through various metrics and feedback, making improvements as necessary.
- Manage the learning and development budget and ensure cost-effective training solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization.
- Collaborate with external training providers and consultants as needed.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing effective training programs.
- Excellent understanding of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
- Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and employee performance.
- Proficient in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.
