What’s the opportunity?
As the Deputy Finance & Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the company, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, particularly in meeting the requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). You will work closely with the CFO to develop financial strategies, manage reports, optimize the corporate financial structure, and support decision-making across the organization. This role involves direct oversight of key finance functions including treasury, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and risk management. You will also be responsible for providing financial guidance to various business units to enhance performance and efficiency.
What will I be doing?
- Assist in developing and executing financial strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Contribute to long-term financial planning and budgeting processes
- Serve as a key finance business partner for various departments, offering strategic financial advice.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Assist in managing corporate risk, including financial risk, operational risk, and compliance risk.
- Ensure that the organization complies with FCA regulations, including ongoing adherence to capital adequacy requirements, liquidity thresholds, and other financial obligations.
- Led the preparation of the submission of statutory financial reports and regulatory returns to the FCA in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support post-merger integration and alignment of financial practices.
What skills do I need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Strong experience in FCA reporting and compliance.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant finance experience.
- Advanced Excel skills.
