Iterative Health is pioneering the use of artificial intelligence-based precision medicine in gastroenterology, with the aim of helping to optimize clinical trials investigating the treatment of IBD. We use advanced machine learning and computer vision to interpret endoscopic videos along with other types of data, helping clinicians better assess patients with potential GI problems. Ultimately, the company aims to establish more meaningful endpoints to serve as better predictors of both therapeutic response and disease outcomes.

The Deputy Chief of Staff (CoS) will work closely with the CEO, serving as a trusted advisor, gatekeeper, problem solver and strategic partner to develop and implement strategies that advance our mission. It is a fast-track role to become an Executive in the company. In this role you will have both internal and external-facing responsibilities, and will provide strategic oversight to operational and communication needs across the company. As the COS, you will have handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, mixing long term projects with the urgency of immediate demands.  This role  is a front seat to all the action in getting a startup off the ground and a terrific opportunity to leverage your broad visibility into the organization to identify challenges, develop solutions, and be an integral part of executing critical workflows. This role is part of the Office of the CEO, reporting directly to the current Chief of Staff.

What you'll be doing:

  • CEO Support and Clearing House: By partnering closely with the CEO, you will act as an extension of the CEOs capabilities by providing strategic guidance and acting as a sounding board for ideas, allowing. the CEO to focus on critical strategic decisions and external engagements.
  • Enhanced Data/ Fact-Driven Decision Making: You will bring valuable insights and analysis to the leadership team, enabling data-driven decision making. By distilling complex information and presenting it in a concise and actionable manner, you will help leaders make informed choices with greater speed and accuracy. You will be responsible for providing the same visibility to the Board, Leadership Team and Staff All hands.
  • Strategic Planning: You will play a pivotal role in strategic planning, working alongside the CEO and Executive Team (ET) members to refine and execute the company's vision, mission, culture and objectives. You will gather and analyze data, assess market trends, and provide insights and recommendations that inform key decision-making processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: As the nexus of communication, you will foster collaboration across departments   by working closely with the ET members, facilitating effective meeting cadence and rhythm of business meetings, and breaking down silos. 
  • Project Management: With your ability to manage complex projects and drive execution, you will oversee critical initiatives and strategic projects within the company. You will define project objectives, establish timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and monitor progress to ensure successful outcomes.

Required skills:

  • At least 3 years of healthcare consulting experience including strong business acumen in the form of a deep understanding of the health-tech industry, market dynamics, financial metrics, and competitive landscape
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Accomplished at strategic thinking, problem solving and analytical skills with experience solving real business problems
  • Adept at collaboration and building trust across teams and levels, including with Executives and senior leaders
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to commute to our New York or Cambridge office 4-5 days per week 
  • Willingness to travel  approximately 15% of the time to key customer accounts as well as conferences as needed
