The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for developing and leading the demand planning function at Fullscript, ensuring accurate SKU level demand forecasting and driving effective forward looking plans. This role will collaborate closely with commercial, marketing, finance, category management, and supply chain teams to develop and maintain robust item, brand, and category level demand plans. The Demand Planning Manager will leverage data analysis and market insights to choose best fit forecasting methodology, creating strategic demand plans to optimize inventory and in-stock levels at scale, enhance supplier relationships and bottoms-up roadmap planning, supporting overall business growth.

Key Responsabilities:

  • Demand Forecasting:
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market and category trends, statistical analysis, and business intelligence
  • Leverage, implement, and own best practices and strategic forecasting methodologies within replenishment planning software platform
  • Collaborate with commercial, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to gather and incorporate input into demand forecasts driving consensus
  • Utilize advanced forecasting tools and techniques to improve forecast accuracy and reliability, at various time intervals out to 12+ months

  • Functional Activities:
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and category / brand / item level trends, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Develop and implement forecasting framework (active vs. passive management)  driving creation of the playbook for demand planning as a function, inclusive of promotional management, new item introduction, product discontinuation, seasonality, and platform/product changes.
  • Advise on inventory management strategies to optimize inventory turns and improve working capital based upon demand segmentation framework.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of inventory, identifying supply and demand imbalance and risk.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze demand patterns, market trends, and customer behaviors to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Generate regular reports on forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management.
  • Use data-driven insights to recommend actions and strategies to improve demand planning processes and drive category and brand strategy.

  • Process Improvement:
  • Contribute to S&OP (SIOP) framework and develop SOPs for demand planning function
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance demand planning processes, tools, and methodologies, including exception reporting.
  • Implement best practices and industry standards to drive efficiency and effectiveness in demand planning.
  • Conduct regular reviews of demand planning processes and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Team ensuring supply and demand connectivity and transparency.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication of demand plans and major shifts in sales velocity.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholders to review demand forecasts, inventory status, and market dynamics.
  • Establish and provide guidance and training to team members on demand planning processes and tools.

  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and develop the future of demand planning at Fullscript
  • Set clear objectives and performance expectations for team members and monitor their progress.
  • Promote a collaborative and high-performance culture within the supplier organization as well as the broader Fullscript community
  • Other duties as required

What You Bring To The Table:

  • Proven and hands-on experience (ie 5-7+ yrs) in demand planning, forecasting, and/or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and build from the ground up.
  • Strong process development and implementation skills, ability to work both strategically and tactically.
  • Proven experience in demand forecasting, inventory management, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in replenishment/demand planning software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA, Blue Ridge).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and tell stories with data.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, prior leadership experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with high adaptability to change and a bias for action.
  • S&OP / SIOP experience highly preferred
  • Bonus if you have educational credentials aligned to Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
