Overview of Role

As a key contributor to the Technical Delivery team, you will be responsible for managing the complete project life cycle of complex projects in our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) business unit. You will facilitate the GCP team’s efforts to identify, communicate, and resolve inter-dependencies, risks, and issues. An ideal candidate will thrive in our fast-paced collaborative culture, and believe in delivering innovative solutions to the clients we support. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent Google Cloud projects from initial communication to project completion
  • Lead across multiple work streams (discovery, design, deployment, optimization) and teams to maintain customer momentum.
  • Serve as the key intermediary between our customers and engineering leads to gather requirements, estimate work, define project milestones, and evaluate risks
  • Lead all standups, scrum ceremonies, and project status meetings
  • Facilitate the swift resolution of customer concerns and act as an escalation point for project issues
  • Responsible for project scope, finances, schedule and expectations of all parties
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, maintain effective communication with leadership to keep them aware of critical issues and action plans
  • Responsible for status ownership mainly related to financials, timelines, risks, decisions, and customer satisfaction
  • Owns project retrospectives and related reporting
  • Provide delivery guidance and oversight on how to align the technical component builds with the delivery timeline throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure the delivery feasibility of proposed technical solutions
  • Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations
  • Implement quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

  • 4+ years relevant experience working as a Delivery Manager or equivalent experience with cloud technology implementations 
  • Prior experience working as a consultant and communicating with executives is required 
  • Experience working in a portfolio/delivery management capacity using agile/scrum methodologies 
  • Understanding of how to build and burn a backlog 
  • Deep understanding of data management, advanced analytics and visualization concepts.
  • Hands on technical experience of delivering data, analytics and AI projects.
  • Strong knowledge of public cloud ecosystems and their key products (preferably GCP and Azure).
  • Technical understanding of modern data warehousing capabilities (BigQuery, Databricks or Snowflake).
  • Strong grasp of AI/ML solutions and their required delivery components.
  • Ability to understand technical components of data, analytics and AI solution architecture.
  • Unmatched analytical and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to translate client requirements to system functionality 
  • Technical aptitude and ability to understand technical designs, challenges, and risks 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying close attention to detail
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment 
  • Familiarity with agile software management and collaboration tools (JIRA, Google Workspace, Mavenlink, Asana) 
  • Capacity to travel to client sites as needed and requested
