Deep Learning Research Scientist - Full time (Intel - JR0029327)

Responsibilities and opportunities

• Work on cutting-edge research projects in applied AI and Machine Learning in the newly established Applied AI Research Lab with AI Products Group at Intel Nervana.
• Areas of research include, but not limited to:

1. novel techniques for deep neural network training and inference optimized for specialized hardware,
2. advancement in deep learning models and algorithms,
3. future hardware architectures for AI applications

• Publish research papers in top peer-reviewed journals in the field of AI, and/or present at conferences
• Close collaborations with academia

Qualifications and requirements:

Minimum

• BS or MS in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or related fields
• Top 25% publication record
• 5+ years of post-graduate research experience including:

1. Theoretical and practical knowledge in deep learning, machine learning and big data
2. Proficiency with Python, C++, etc. and at least one of the popular deep learning frameworks, able to write production quality code

• Top 25% writing and communication skills

Preferred

• PhD or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering or related fields such as statistics, applied math, physics, computational neuroscience
• Experience in hardware design
