Responsibilities and opportunities
- Work on cutting-edge research projects in applied AI and Machine Learning in the newly established Applied AI Research Lab with AI Products Group at Intel Nervana.
- Areas of research include, but not limited to:
- novel techniques for deep neural network training and inference optimized for specialized hardware,
- advancement in deep learning models and algorithms,
- future hardware architectures for AI applications
- Publish research papers in top peer-reviewed journals in the field of AI, and/or present at conferences
- Close collaborations with academia
Qualifications and requirements:
Minimum
- BS or MS in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or related fields
- Top 25% publication record
- 5+ years of post-graduate research experience including:
- Theoretical and practical knowledge in deep learning, machine learning and big data
- Proficiency with Python, C++, etc. and at least one of the popular deep learning frameworks, able to write production quality code
- Top 25% writing and communication skills
Preferred
- PhD or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering or related fields such as statistics, applied math, physics, computational neuroscience
- Experience in hardware design
