Debug Engineer - Electronic Technology (PCBA Manufacturing)

As a Debug Engineer, you will play a critical role in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in PCBA products. Your expertise in electronic technology will be crucial to ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards before they reach our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including test engineers, production teams, and quality assurance, to drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Debugging & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues on complex PCBA assemblies using tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis to determine the root cause of failures in electronic circuits and systems.
  • Test Analysis & Repair: Work closely with the test engineering team to develop effective testing procedures and analyze test failures.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of debugging processes, failure modes, and solutions for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaboration: Work with design, production, and quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions and ensure product reliability.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements in the debugging and testing process to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational Background: Degree or HND in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing or electronic product debugging.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in using electronic diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in diagnosing and documenting faults.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards: Familiarity with IPC standards and electronic component specifications.
