Description
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Database Manager to join our team at Salla.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the storage, management, scalability, security, and migration of our cloud data solutions including MySQL, Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, S3, and various cache databases.
This role is crucial for ensuring high availability, performance, and dynamic adaptation of our database systems which support our company’s applications and services at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Direct and enhance the strategy for our cloud storage infrastructure to support exponential data growth and dynamic business needs.
- Advanced Technical Management: Oversee the design and operation of complex database systems including MySQL, Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, and S3. Implement best practices for dynamic database management, data sharding, and efficient migrations.
- Innovation and Optimization: Drive innovation in cloud storage solutions, optimizing cost and performance through cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure all cloud storage solutions comply with relevant laws and regulations, implementing robust security measures and risk mitigation strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other technology leaders to ensure that storage solutions are perfectly aligned with the company’s technology roadmap and business objectives.
- Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a team of cloud storage experts in achieving excellence and technical prowess.
- Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage budgets with a keen eye on maximizing ROI and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years in a leadership role managing complex cloud storage environments with a proven track record in scalable, secure, and efficient data management.
- Deep expertise in database architecture and management, including hands-on experience with MySQL, Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, S3, and advanced techniques such as data sharding and dynamic database solutions.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication skills with the adeptness to articulate technical vision to all levels of the organization and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of compliance and data security in a global environment.
