We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Expert (4699 -#LI-AS2) to join our team.

As a Database Expert, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing database solutions to support our organization's data needs. This role requires deep expertise in database technologies, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement database solutions to meet business requirements and performance goals.
  • Optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexing, and implementing best practices for data storage and retrieval.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of databases by implementing appropriate access controls, encryption, and backup strategies.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with software developers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate database solutions into applications and systems.
  • Design and implement data migration and replication processes to ensure data consistency and availability across environments.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in database management to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
  • Document database architecture, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure consistency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and prioritize database initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Database Expert or similar role, with expertise in database design, development, and administration.
  • Deep understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis is a plus.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and database optimization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex database issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive attitude with a passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in database management.
