Database Admin
Location: Mexico
Duration: 6 Months
Responsibilities:
• Maintain scalable database solutions in AWS cloud environments.
• Improve ETL processes using AWS Glue and AWS Lambda, SNS, AWS DMS, for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into Redshift.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Implement and manage data pipelines and workflows using AWS services such as Lambda and S3.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards and industry regulations.
• Propose an active monitoring system making an alert and troubleshooting notification and solution more efficient.
• Document the changes and processes, with detailed architecture diagrams and description of the processes.
Requirements:
• Experience as a Database Engineer or similar role, with deep knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and services for databases implementation and optimization.
• Experience with databases on Aurora and MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, AWS DMS, AWS Lambda, Amazon EventBridge, Queues, S3, etc.
• SQL skills and experience in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience in scripting languages (Python, SQL, PySpark) for automation and data manipulation tasks.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques.
• Desirable: AWS Data Analytics certification, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Big Data or AWS Certified Database - Specialty.
