Data Scientist

Full-Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, process & product engineers, design engineers, etc collaboratively to develop new data science solutions that improve productivity and operations metrics.
  • Leverage data mining techniques in mathematics, statistics, information technology, machine learning, deep learning, visualization etc to discover insightful patterns.
  • Researching and developing scalable computer vision and machine learning solutions for complex problems
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams to integrate image analytics algorithms and software, as well as develop system prototypes
  • Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data; develop deep-dive analysis and machine learning / AI models into application or integrate with any pre-existing systems; demonstrate successful use cases and wins to drive business value
  • Constantly learn new front tier technology and creatively apply/deliver solutions to manufacturing operations to meet KPIs.

REQUIRED:

  • Masters or Bachelor Degree in Computer science, data science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant work experience and education background.
  • We will also consider applicants with the equivalent combination of education, technical expertise, training, or work experience.
  • Preferably minimum 1-2 years of working experience in related field.
  • Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.

PREFERRED:

  • Required: Python, R, Tensorflow framework, Computer Vision.
  • SQL, Relational databases, Big Data platforms, AWS Redshift etc.
  • Familiar with some of the following Statistical Analysis & Modelling Tools: JMP, Minitab, SPSS, Enterprise Miner, Enterprise Guide, SAS coding.
  • Familiarity with core techniques in statistical and machine learning e.g. regularized regression, time series analysis, tree base models, boosting algorithms, neural networks, frequentist and Bayesian inference, power calculation, clustering, collaborative filtering, NLP, cross-validation and bootstrapping, and data visualization
  • Practical experience in application of ML and Deep Learning algorithms. 
  • Familiar with collaborative solutions, model & code versioning (Github), and solution packaging (Docker)
  • Ability to deploy data science solutions in cloud analytics infrastructure and AWS
  • Experience with data visualization methods
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize, simplify and explain complex problems to different types of audience, including executives. A great team player.
  • Self-motivated, strong ownership and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
