YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Science department in Trendyol consists of 90+ talented data scientists organized under several domains. Each domain is autonomous and empowered to experiment with new ideas while cross-collaboration is strongly encouraged with horizontal structures.
  • As part of the DS- Customer Experience domain, your goal is to driving customer and seller engagement by optimizing user-generated content -text, videos, images etc- created by user and sellers. Which include review summerization by using opens source LLMs, image rankings models, review sorting models, DL supported size recommendation during fashion products purchase steps etc.
  • Develop and maintain scalable ranking solutions that enhance the customer experience across various countries, taking into account the structural and unstructured (text, image) data of users in each region.
  • Apply best practices for working with ML-Ops infrastructure, improve models and infrastructure to optimize existing ranking models performance.
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
  • Translate business needs into data world, come up with value-adding outputs and communicate the results to cross teams effectively
  • Focus on outcomes ensuring that all model development are aligned with the business objectives and deliver measurable results

QUALITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferably in Industial Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related quantitative field
  • 1-4 years of proven experience in a variety of machine learning modeling techniques (Classification, regression, learning to rank algorithms, clustering, gradient boosting, deep learning etc.).
  • Knowledge with learning to rank algorithms and deep learning based ranking algorithms is a big plus.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch and result-oriented attitude
  • Proven experience in data mining and statistical analysis
  • Effective communication skills with a capability of explaining complex data concepts clearly.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and drive tasks to completion to meet the dynamic needs of our fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience with building NLP solutions as inputs of ranking algorithms is a big plus
  • The experience range for this position is suitable for specialist/senior specialist roles
