Data Quality Specialist - WFH/ Remote Work (Fresh grads can Apply)

Data Collection:

  • Manually collect data from various sources, including websites, databases, and other relevant platforms.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify and source high-quality data that aligns with Fresh Futures’ objectives.

Data Cleaning & Verification:

  • Clean and preprocess data to ensure it is free from errors, inconsistencies, and duplicates.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of data through double-checking and cross-referencing with reliable sources.

Data Maintenance:

  • Regularly update existing datasets to ensure they remain current and relevant.
  • Monitor data sources for any changes or updates that may affect data quality.

Data Enhancement:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance data quality by finding additional relevant data points.
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate new data sources seamlessly into existing databases.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and adhere to data quality standards and best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of data to maintain high levels of accuracy and integrity.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with data engineering and analytics teams to support their data needs.
  • Communicate data quality issues and provide recommendations for improvement to relevant stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest data collection and cleaning methodologies.
  • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in data collection, data cleaning, data quality management, or a similar role OR
  • Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects or internships demonstrating proficiency in data management tasks.

Key Skills

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in data management tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL).
  • Familiarity with data cleaning and preprocessing techniques.
  • Basic understanding of data visualisation tools is a plus.

Research Skills:

  • Strong ability to search, research, and source relevant data efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying data discrepancies and inconsistencies.

Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to interpret and analyse data to ensure its quality and reliability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve data quality issues.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the education technology (EdTech) industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data privacy regulations relevant to the education sector.
  • Experience with data scraping tools (without performing the scraping) is a plus.
  • Certifications in data management or related fields.
