THE ROLE
As a Data Quality and Governance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in implementing and evolving a global, data-driven strategy. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and usability of data to support informed business decisions. You will join the Data Governance Team, where your analytical and technical skills will be essential in resolving and preventing data quality issues, standardizing data quality checks, and enhancing overall data governance processes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Data Quality and Compliance: Monitor and enforce adherence to data quality standards across information flows and data stores.
- Issue Identification and Resolution: Detect, analyze, and escalate data quality issues, recommending system enhancements to improve data accuracy.
- Data Improvement and Reporting: Measure, report, and provide insights on data quality improvements, including progress updates and commentary.
- Collaboration with Data Teams: Partner with data engineers, product managers, data owners, data architectures and SME's to provide consultation on Data Management services.
- Data Governance Support: Support the Data Governance framework, including managing metadata, data standards, data policies, business glossaries, and reference data.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate remediation efforts and provide status updates to stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of data quality issues.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement processes to support data standards, control frameworks, and the business glossary.
- Data Profiling: Conduct data profiling tasks to understand and improve the relationships between data elements.
WHO YOU ARE
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Data Quality and Governance Analyst.
- You have contributed to or supported the development of Data Governance programs.
- You have experience in building and maintaining data pipelines.
- You have Experience with BI and data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, etc.) is preferred.
- You can write SQL in your sleep.
- You have experience in a cloud environment.
- You have skills in programming languages, preferably Python.
- You have good analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Support the creation and implementation of processes and procedures to support data standards and control frameworks.
- Experience with Master Data Management practices is a plus.
- You are enthusiastic, with a positive attitude and a passion for data.
- Fluent in English.
