The Role

We are looking for QA Engineers to focus on test execution, hands-on validation, and certification of readiness of data projects. Successful hires will gain and sustain knowledge on our / end clients' products, business, and operational environments, as well as develop an in-depth understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and life cycles. You will also manage the full testing lifecycle and own all test documentation. An ideal candidate needs to have a passion for learning new technologies.

Your Team

We are a team of young and eager adventurers. You will be reporting to a Project Manager and enjoy the collaboration of team members within the project and capability. You will also get the opportunity to work with external stakeholders in the successful completion of project objectives.

You will work closely with our business partners, the household brands in technology, such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft, and Outsystems.

Your Responsibilities

• Create detailed test cases that match business requirements to ensure data quality
• Perform data quality checking for ad-hoc data extraction
• Test on time that meets SLA
• Communicate with the Data Analyst and Project Management Officer to gather and analyze requirements for test case creation
• Support data analyst in peer reviewing data output before user’s acceptance testing (UAT)
• Maintain QA documentation/artifacts for future testing purposes
• Perform data testing of outputs made by data analysts to ensure quality using SQL 
• Attend daily stand-ups for team updates and work progress 
• Work closely with colleagues to identify data-related problems and solve them accordingly
• Deliver test cases to test if data outputs made by data analysts meet business requirements
• Perform data quality review to prevent data issues such as duplicate data, missing values etc.
• Elevate data quality-related KPIs and reduce rework due to data issues and missed requirements.  

About You
You are/have: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT/Computing/Business or equivalent
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Database testing
• Experience in Quality Assurance (QA testing, terminologies, methodologies, concepts) 
• Experience working with SQL, Google Data Studio, Google Sheets, and Excel
• Experience in Google BigQuery, Tableau, Power BI, Metabase, and DaaS 
• Experience in Hadoop or Big Data technologies
• Experience in analytics and data warehousing concepts, terminologies, and architecture 
• Experience in JIRA and Confluence 
• Detail-oriented to identify test cases/scenarios
• Familiar with basic QA (quality assurance) terminologies and concepts
• Strong collaboration skills and agile mindset
• Good oral and presentation skills
