We seek a new data platform engineer to join our Tallinn or Tartu office! Your main goal will be to build and maintain our Data platform components and frameworks to enable analytics in Pipedrive. That includes providing a systematic approach to data, tools, integrations, and technical support to any employee, especially to data engineers, data scientists, and analysts.
Your new adventure:
- Build and manage our cloud-based infrastructure and configuration for Data platform components on AWS. Make sure it’s secure, compliant and cost-effective.
- Design and develop core parts of the Data platform to automate data pipelines, management, and monitoring of our big data infrastructure.
- Design and build efficient platforms and frameworks that are used by other technical people (like data engineers and data scientists) in their daily work.
- Implement and automate integrations with new data sources.
- Mentor our internal users on ways to get the most out of the data processing platform.
- Ensure that our solutions can scale to billions of data records and hundreds of terabytes of data.
- Document and communicate Data platform components, frameworks, and interfaces to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Data platform infrastructure.
- Be on-call when it’s your turn, react to alerts, and resolve production incidents.
Does this sound like you?
- At least 3 years of experience in software development
- Experience with cloud computing infrastructure and development on AWS
- Experience with distributed systems for large-scale data processing (like Apache Spark, Apache Flink, and Redis)
- Experience with Infrastructure as a code and configuration management tool (like Terraform, SaltStack)
- In-depth knowledge of one or more programming languages (preferably Python, Go, Scala)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with agile methodologies
- BSc or MSc in computer science, mathematics, statistics (or similar), or comparable relevant experience
