Position:
We are hiring a Data Governance Analyst to join our team in Romania to support the Master Data Manager in maintaining the quality, consistency, and integrity of critical reference data within our financial services data platform. The Data Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the data is accurate, reliable, and accessible to support various business operations and decision-making processes.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the Master Data Manager, data architects, and subject matter experts to ensure effective management of master data and data governance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation, maintenance, and improvement of master data management processes.
- Support the implementation of data governance policies, including data quality standards, data lineage, and data access controls.
- Perform data quality checks, profiling, cleansing, and matching tasks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with data owners to understand business requirements and ensure proper documentation of master data attributes and business rules.
- Work with the Master Data Manager to monitor and report on key data quality metrics, identifying issues and recommending improvements.
- Assist with the integration of third-party data into the platform, ensuring proper data mapping and transformation.
- Support change management processes for master data, including updates, corrections, and deletions.
- Help maintain relationships with third-party data providers, ensuring compliance with data licensing agreements.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and develop tools or scripts (e.g., SQL, Python) to automate data validation and reporting tasks.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve data governance and master data management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
- Knowledge of data quality tools and techniques (e.g., data profiling, cleansing, and matching tools).
- Familiarity with data governance principles and practices.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python preferred) for data manipulation and automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong documentation and communication skills to interact effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, agile environment.
- Experience in financial services or working with financial data is a plus.
