Role description:
We’re looking for a Data Engineer for a 6-month project. Working hours: 8 hours/day, Mon-Fr, EST time zone.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with data import (ETL) and maintenance
- Process, cleanse, and validate the integrity of data to be used for analysis
- Develop overarching best practices and protocols for data usage agreements with clients and vendor partners
- Manage flow of data from raw format to end-users
- Develop templates and infrastructure to support data visualization
- Maintain and update data model and documentation to support business requirements
- Automate electronic data exchange
- Apply data architecture best practices
- Serve as a subject matter expert and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data-related issues
Technical Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of relational database management systems, data modeling, data migration and data visualization
- Experience with data architecture with cloud computing tools
- Experience with AWS particularly S3, Athena, Data Pipeline and Glue
- Experience with test-driven development
- Ability to document requirements and specifications
Qualifications:
- English level B2+
- Proven working-experience in data engineering
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or Engineering
- Hands-on experience in data modeling and data visualization
- AWS experience
- Experience in a variety of coding languages such as SQL, Python, Java or Scala
