What are we are looking for?
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Digital Solutions - DataLab team and help develop robust data infrastructure and pipelines. To succeed at this job, you will need to design, build, and maintain scalable data systems, create efficient ETL processes, and ensure data quality and accessibility.
It's expected to have strong fundamentals in traditional relational databases, as well as experience with modern database solutions including NoSQL, vector databases, and graph databases. You should be proficient in SQL and Python programming, with experience in cloud-based data solutions, preferably AWS. Knowledge of data modeling, data governance, and data security principles is crucial.
Data Engineers must be able to collaborate effectively with data scientists and analysts, translating their requirements into efficient data architectures. This includes selecting and implementing the most appropriate database technology for different use cases, whether it's using vector databases for similarity search and machine learning applications, graph databases for complex relationship modeling, or NoSQL databases for handling unstructured data at scale.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential, as you'll be responsible for optimizing data retrieval, ensuring data integrity, and designing scalable solutions that can handle the diverse data needs of our automotive industry applications.
