Data Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Data engineer to lead our data infrastructure initiative, out of our European headquarters in Amsterdam. This role is pivotal in shaping our data strategy, driving business insights, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
What you will be doing
As a key member of our team, you will report to our VP of Revenue Operations and collaborate closely with engineering to create a robust data infrastructure, ensuring a strong foundation for BI reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering to create and maintain a scalable and reliable data infrastructure with the end goal of supporting robust BI reporting.
- Introduce new tools and workflows, and improve existing ones to make data processing and analysis easier and faster (we currently use CockroachDB/Postgres, AWS, Redis, Kafka, BigQuery, and Looker);
- Design, integrate, and document technical components to grow our data platform
- Investigate data problems, system gaps and clean the data and continuously optimize data quality
- Ensure data systems are optimized for speed and efficiency to drive business decisions
- Interview key stakeholders across the organization to understand their data and BI requirements, gain familiarity with how they use systems and data to support their function on a daily basis and develop a process to ensure that those data elements are served well from our data infrastructure and overall BI strategy.
- Partner with the VP of Revenue Operations on important BI initiatives that support the GTM organization
- Provide a trusted data fabric for stakeholders across the company such that they can abandon siloed systems in exchange for a centralized data service that is trusted, accurate and complete.
