The essence of the role

Come be a part of our team as a Data Engineer. Take the lead in building, maintaining, and supporting data pipelines throughout our global product portfolio. Unleash your creativity and leverage the latest technologies to shine in this role. Your expertise in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT will empower you to take a proactive approach to sophisticated challenges and shaping data pipelines that enhance the data domain and foster connectivity across Sinch.

This role is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and functions under a hybrid model, reporting to the Data Engineering Manager.

As our Data Engineer, you will:

  • Implement high-impact initiatives in a rapidly growing business to drive results for our customers and the world.
  • Engage in the integration of data across diverse platforms and products.
  • Contribute to data pipelines development, performance, quality, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in our data movement pipelines.
  • Lead data engineering projects to ensure successful delivery.

We believe you bring solid expertise in diverse data landscapes, coupled with proficiency in pipeline development and governance. Your essential experience with virtualization tools, as well as your demonstrated capability in real-time data processing and analytics sets you apart. As an effective communicator, you effortlessly bridge the technical and business sectors. Your dedication to continual learning ensures that you stay current of industry trends and eagerly adopt new technologies.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

  • Robust foundation in software development, including fluency in Python, Spark, Git, CI/CD, and Docker.
  • Demonstrated experience using SQL for data querying and building ETL/ELT processes.
  • Practical expertise with data lakes and data warehouses, implementing best practices to structure and store big volumes of datasets.
  • Skilled in data pipeline creation and orchestration tools, such as Airflow and Dagster.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Fluency in English.
