About the role:
We are seeking a self-motivated, solution-oriented, and experienced (Senior) Data & Analytics Engineer to join our Affinidi Elements team. In this position, you will collaborate with team members focusing on various aspects of the data infrastructure and analytics pipeline, including design, development, testing, data modeling, implementation and integration of data focused products and services, that are both developer and consumer facing. Your responsibilities will include delivering a multi-component data platform, leveraging your expertise in implementing, performance testing and deploying reliable production-quality systems. What’s in it for you:
- Develop, implement, and maintain best-in-class data/analytics pipelines and system as part of the core Affinidi Elements product offering
- Prototype, program, and help ship the next generation of Affinidi Elements products that lets developers and consumers access data, services, and data models seamlessly and securely
- Elevate engineering standards through your expertise and commitment to best practices.
- Develop code with a focus on delivering accurate, efficient, secure, well-tested, and reliable data processing and transformation at scale
- Monitor and enhance reliability and operational metrics, recommending improvements to tests or monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and other peers to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment
- Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale systems environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
- Lead by example, driving the implementation of complex technical solutions through the preparation of proof-of-concepts (POCs) or contributions to the codebase.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and peers on bigger topics.

- Have practical experience in implementing Data Infrastructures.
- Possess a solid understanding of different data architectures
- Have a keen interest in advancing technology, specifically in finding innovative ways to enhance data ownership, with a focus on decentralized technology.
- Are a passionate engineer with minimum 5 years of extensive proficiency in data mining, OLAP, ETL, data modelling, complex SQL queries, performance tuning, Python, Typescript, Streaming technologies like Kafka / Kinesis, ETL technologies like Spark / Flink / Ray / Polars and AWS services like Glue, Athena, DynamoDB, Lambda, Redshift.
- Demonstrate expertise in cloud computing, with a preference for AWS serverless environments.
- Grasp design patterns and have hands-on experience in designing and deploying ETL jobs, and streaming processing in the cloud, backed by proven track record.
- Are hands-on with Python / Typescript and adept at effectively monitoring and testing the data quality and accuracy of the analysis.
