About This Role

We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer with hands-on expertise in energy markets to join our Market Data team. This is a role where data pipelining meets domain expertise. At Dexter, we’re on a mission to transform renewable energy trading, and our Market Data team is at the heart of this transformation.

In this role, you will collaborate with different teams and contribute to high-impact solutions across several key areas:

• Market Data Ingestion: Ingesting market data from external sources like TenneT, Elia, etc., and ensuring its accuracy and reliability.

• Data Validation & Transformation: Retrieving, validating, and transforming data to make it available for internal product teams, primarily trading and flexibility optimization teams.

• Data Pipelining: Designing and maintaining pipelines that move data efficiently while understanding its content and implications.

• Domain Expertise: Bringing a deep understanding of market data and its nuances to ensure optimal integration with our AI-driven tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines using Python, DBT, BigQuery, Redis, and Pub/Sub.

• Develop solutions for managing energy market data efficiently and at scale.

• Work with data warehousing concepts, including data modeling, data quality, and data governance.
