We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to join our team in Kepak! This is a permanent position based in our office in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.

Position Overview
The Junior Data Engineer role is to design, build and maintain BI solutions within The Kepak Group Fabric environment.
As a member of the data team, you will play a role in developing scalable data pipelines, optimising data workflows, and ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and secure.
Reporting to the Group Data Architect. The successful candidate will directly impact the ability of the Kepak teams to make data-driven decisions, enhance products, work on exciting projects and improve customer experience.
What You’ll Do for Us:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support business analytics and reporting.
- Develop data models, star schemas, and master/reference data solutions.
- Manage code repositories and version control with DevOps tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver efficient solutions, perform proofs-of-concept, and pilot new technologies and/or methods
Requirements
- Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of work experience preferred.
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Spark, Scala.
- Experience with ETL tools (Fabric, SSIS). • Proficient in DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
- Hands-on experience with Azure Fabric, Synapse, Databricks and Power BI.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with diverse teams via collaborative technologies.
- Proven desire and ability to learn on-the-job.
- Fluent in English.
